Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 25, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Chat-messenger (“Chat-messenger”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use our websites, products and services (the “Services”).
If you have any questions about this Policy or our privacy practices, you can contact us at privacy@chat-messenger.com.
1. Who we are
Chat-messenger is a SaaS platform that helps customers centrally manage and automate social messaging across channels such as Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and websites.
When we decide why and how your personal data is processed, Chat-messenger acts as a “data controller”. When our customers use the Services to communicate with their own subscribers, leads or customers, they act as the controller and we act as their “data processor”.
2. Scope of this Policy
This Policy applies to personal data we process about:
- visitors to our websites,
- individuals who create or use a Chat-messenger account,
- newsletter subscribers and other prospects who interact with our marketing,
- contacts of our suppliers, partners and service providers.
3. How we collect personal data
We collect personal data in three main ways:
- Data you provide directly. For example, when you create an account, fill out a form, subscribe to a newsletter, contact our support team or otherwise communicate with us.
- Data collected automatically. When you visit our websites or use the Services, we may collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed and interactions with our features.
- Data from integrated platforms and partners. When you connect social networks or messaging channels, or when we receive limited data from payment processors and analytics providers, according to their terms and applicable law.
4. Types of personal data we process
Depending on how you use the Services, we may process the following categories of personal data:
- Account information. Name, email address, encrypted password, profile details, organization name and account settings.
- Contact and business details. Name, email, phone number, job title, organization and any other information you choose to share when communicating with us.
- Customer content and subscriber data. Data that you or your team import or collect through Chat-messenger, such as subscriber identifiers, message history, tags, segments and events. We process this data only to provide the Services to you.
- Usage and technical data. Log data, IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, features used and timestamps.
- Billing and payment information. Billing contact details, address, tax numbers, subscription plan details and limited card information (usually handled securely by our payment processors).
- Marketing and preference data. Your subscription status to our newsletters and updates, and basic engagement metrics such as email opens and link clicks.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data (such as health, religion or political opinions) through the Services. Please avoid sharing such data unless it is strictly necessary and permitted by law.
5. How we use personal data
We use personal data for the purposes and on the legal bases described below:
- To provide and operate the Services. Including creating and managing accounts, processing content and data within Chat-messenger, and offering customer support.
- To communicate with you. We send service-related messages (such as security alerts, billing notices or technical updates) and respond to your requests.
- To improve our products. We analyze how the Services are used, fix bugs, test new features and improve performance. When possible, we use aggregated or de-identified data.
- To send marketing communications. With your consent where required by law, we send newsletters, product news and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails.
- To ensure security and prevent abuse. We monitor for suspicious activity, protect accounts and enforce our terms and policies.
- To comply with legal obligations. We may process data where necessary to comply with laws, regulations or valid legal requests.
6. How we share personal data
We do not sell your personal data. We may share personal data with:
- Service providers. Companies that help us deliver the Services (for example hosting, analytics, email delivery, customer support and payment processing). They may only process personal data on our instructions and must protect it.
- Integrated platforms. Social networks, messaging tools and other services that you choose to connect to Chat-messenger. Data sharing depends on your settings and their own privacy policies.
- Professional advisors. Legal, tax, financial and security advisors where necessary to protect our legitimate interests.
- Business transfers. In case of a merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of the transaction under appropriate safeguards.
- Legal and safety reasons. When we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Chat-messenger, our users or others.
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify any individual.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- the right to request access to personal data we hold about you,
- the right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data,
- the right to request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances,
- the right to object to or request restriction of certain processing activities,
- the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on your consent,
- the right to data portability where applicable.
You can exercise some of these rights through your Chat-messenger account (for example by updating your profile or closing your account). You can also contact us at privacy@chat-messenger.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request.
When we process data on behalf of a customer (for example, your data as their subscriber), we may direct you to contact that customer directly because they are responsible for handling such requests.
8. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or allowed by law.
When your account becomes inactive or is closed, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain information.
9. International data transfers
Chat-messenger may store and process personal data in countries other than your own. These countries may have different data protection laws. Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or similar legal mechanisms, to protect data transferred internationally.
10. Children’s privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will take steps to delete it as soon as reasonably possible.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (for example, by email or through the Services).
